This intensive one day course is suitable for Nannies wishing to join the Voluntary part of the Ofsted Childcare Register (OCR).
Delivered by paediatric specialists it includes both theory and practical sessions.

The OCR required syllabus covers such topics as:
- First Aid Priorities
- Dealing with an Emergency
- Choking - Child and Baby
- Resuscitation (CPR) - Child and Baby
- Anaphylaxis
- Bleeding and Shock
- Burns & Scalds
- Electric Shock
- Effects of extreme heat and cold
- Poisioning
- Medical conditions including epilepsy,asthma,sickle cell and diabetes
- Head injuries
- Eye & Ear injuries
- Fractures
- Childhood illnesses including Meningitis and Febrile Convulsions
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment, there is no final examination. Those participants who complete the course, and reach the required standard, are awarded a certificate that is valid for three years.

£85- this includes certification and a manual for each participant.
